Max Bupa inspires Jaipur to Walk for Health

·       Max Bupa Walk for Health is a first of its kind 33 day walking event in India that aims to inspire Indians across 15 cities including Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Surat, Jaipur and Delhi to walk regularly

·       After successfully completing the walk in Mumbai, Pune, Surat and Ahmedabad the Max Bupa Walk for Health initiative, led by Olympic walkers, reached the city of Jaipur on February 7th

 

 

Jaipur, February 7, 2016: After successfully encouraging thousands of families in Mumbai, Pune, Surat and Ahmedabad, the 4th edition of Max Bupa Walk for Health led by Indian Olympic Walkers, has reached the city of Jaipur. In an attempt to encourage the entire nation to walk more and discover the multiple benefits of walking, Max Bupa is hosting a 33 day walking event across 15 cities including Mumbai, Pune, Surat, Ahmedabad,Jaipur and Delhi. The walk movement is being led by the celebrated Olympic Walkers, namely, Manish Rawat, Khushbir Kaur, Gurmeet Singh and Sandeep Kumar.The walk ambassadors covered the 1200 kilometer distance from Mumbai to Jaipur in 27 days and inspired millions of onlookers through stopovers at various city landmarks likeKherwara, Parshad, Udaipur, Chittorgarh, Ajmer, Pushkar and Sambhar.The event will culminate with a mega walk in Delhi on February 14th.

 

In order to inspire the people of Pink City to walk more, Max Bupa organized a 5 kilometer heritage walk with the popular walking group, Jaipur Walks, which saw attendance by people across age groups and different walks of life. The event was hosted by Anika Agarwal, Head Marketing, Max Bupa and led by celebrated Olympic walker, Manish Rawat, a Rio Olympic qualifier in both 20km and 50km walking event. The walking event attracted hundreds of people in Jaipur as the participants walked through rustic old havelis and city landmarks, including PanchBatti at MI Road, Rajasthan School of Arts, Maharaja Public library and the Choura Rasta.

The Max Bupa Walk for Health event, now in its fourth year, has engaged over 70, 000 Indians from all walks of life and age groups, to take a step towards a healthier lifestyle. This year, the event aims to motivate 30, 000 Indian families across cities, towns and villages to incorporate more walking into their daily lifestyle. The event was flagged off in Mumbai on January 10 and saw participation by 10, 000 families including the young and old. The event has garnered a lot of attention on social media where thousands of audience have been reached out to participate. The build-up on social platforms like Facebook, Twitter and Youtube engaged more than xxx people.
